This jersey is an exact replica of those worn by Everton in 1881. It was introduced to replace the old motley shirts that were famously dyed black so that they would match and so is the first properly uniform strip worn by this famous old club. At this stage, the team played on an open pitch on Stanley Park and carried the goalposts out before every match. Pink became a regular feature in Everton's early kits and was revived for their away strip in 2010. This item offers true Everton fans the chance to own a piece of their club's early heritage. Manufactured in the UK from 100% woven cotton, this historic shirt is hand-finished to the very highest standards and comes with a reproduction postcard showing the team wearing the original tops along with additional information. The shirt comes in a special presentation box made from 100% recyclable materials.
