Southampton St Mary’s (Southampton FC) 1894 Football Shirt

£15.00
SKU: SOTN-SHRT-1894

This fine shirt is an exact replica of those worn by Southampton St Marys in 1894-95. At this stage of their career, the team retained the name of the church that they had sprung from but had dropped the suffix YMA (Young Men's Association). These halved shirts were adopted at the start of the 1894-95 season, their first in the Southern League. They were worn for just two seasons until 1896 after which the team became known as simply Southampton FC, although their nickname of The Saints persists to this day.

Manufactured in the UK from 100% drill cotton, this historic shirt is hand-finished to the very highest standards and comes with a reproduction postcard showing the team wearing their new tops along with additional information. The shirt comes in a special presentation box made from 100% recyclable materials.

 Size Guide: XL 54"/137cm chest, L 50"/127cm chest, M 46"/117cm chest.
