Available exclusively from Historical Football Kits, this shirt is an exact replica of those adopted by Tottenham Hotspur in 1884. The story goes that the young Spurs players (they were still just a youth team at the time) cancelled a fixture and went to watch the FA Cup Final between Blackburn Rovers and Queen's Park the previous March. So impressed were they at the magnificent Lancashire side that they decided to adopt their colours, which were Cambridge blue and white at the time. The addition of a Maltese cross was an interesting period detail, verified from contemporary photographs. This is the shirt that inspired the popular 125th aniversary special edition version launched by the club in 2007 and has proved a popular item among serious Spurs fans.
Manufactured in the UK from 100% drill cotton, this historic shirt is hand-finished to the very highest standards and comes with a reproduction postcard showing the team wearing the original tops along with additional information. The shirt comes in a special presentation box made from 100% recyclable materials.
